On August 29, around 100 high school students from Lori region gathered at the COAF SMART Center to attend a public discussion initiated by the Civic Initiative for Education (CIE) and supported by DVV International in Armenia. The purpose of this unprecedented event was to engage the children in a dialogue around one of CIE’s core values, i.e. social justice in education. Both DVV International and its’ partners CIE and COAF emphasize participatory approach to policy setting and decision making and the goal was hearing children’s voices about social justice in education. The concept was presented to the children through an interactive presentation, games, use of technologies and facilitated discussion led by CIE activists Vahram Soghomonyan, Lusine Kharatyan and Misha Tadevosyan.
