In April-May 2020, DVV International's Armenia Country Office offered two rounds of three-day capacity building online training programs on “Blended Learning” for adult educators. The initiative is aimed at developing skills and knowhow among partner organizations to use the blended learning approach given the “Covid19” situation in Armenia and whole the world.
The two sessions targeted two different audiences. The first group consisted of 14 trainers from the Sisian and Shirak Adult Education Centers (AEC) who learnt the concepts, basic models, the design/structure and the main stages of developing an effective blended course. With the support of a mentor team, a selected group of training participants is working to develop their own blended courses.
The second group consisted of representative of different partner NGOs. This groups had an introductory session on the basics of adult education followed by the two days module on blended learning, its methods, structure, etc. These new skills and knowledge will allow the trainers to adapt their educational process with minimum problems in“Covid19” situation as well as after returning to regular work.
