In March 2018, a DVV International team consisting of the Regional Director for the Caucasus, Turkey, and South-East Europe, Maja Avramovska, the Georgian Country Director, Lali Santeladze, and the Project Coordinator, Dato Jikia visited those regional municipalities where the adult education centers (10 centers) established by DVVI operate and met with the newly elected local self-government representatives.
Municipal mayors and chairmen of Municipal Assemblies of Tsalenjikha, Senaki, Chokhatauri, Keda, Ambrolauri, Akhaltsikhe, Akhalkalaki, Tetritskaro, Marneuli, and Lagodekhi discussed future cooperation topics including the sustainability, implementation of joint initiatives, funding, etc. with DVVI. Parties stressed the importance of past, fruitful collaboration for ensuring the success of future cooperation.
The DVVI representatives cordially invited the heads of the municipalities to take part in a study trip to Germany, where newly elected and reelected local leaders and directors of adult education centers will have the opportunity to examine the German experience on-site and share their one.
