On March 22, the conference entitled "Marrakesh 2022 - Yerevan 2023/2024, ALE Developments from Global to Local" was held, during which the results of the researches launched in 2023 were summarized. The main objective of the "Marrakesh 2022 - Yerevan 2023/2024, ALE Developments from Global to Local" project was to popularize “Marrakesh Framework for Action” among professors, students and the wider public. For this purpose, within the framework of the initiative, in 2023, five research groups selected through an open competition from the professors and students of 10 faculties of YSU studied the thematic issues included in the "Marrakech Framework for Action" which are of great importance for the development of adult learning and education in RA.
During the conference all five teams presented their researches, panel discussions were held on the topics “ALE global and local developments” and “Alternative ALE Platforms”, as well as the results of “Study on ALE Terminology” were presented.
The event concluded with an awards ceremony. The team that conducted the research on “Civic Knowledge and Participation among YSU Students” (team lead: Serob Khachatryan, team members: Lida Khachatryan, Ani Azizyan) won the jury's grand prize for interesting content, creative presentation and usefulness, receiving the highest score from the jury. The 'Audience Sympathy' award was given to the team that conducted the research on “Psychological Attitudes and Social Perceptions of Adult Education in the Republic of Armenia” (team lead: Diana Sargsyan, team members: Arevhat Badalyan, Anahit Amirjanyan, Zaruhi Nazaryan), for the work that received the most votes from the participants.
The conference was organized by DVV International Armenia Country office and Yerevan State University, with financial support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
