On May 18-19, within the framework of International Museum Day and Museum Night events, a number of Armenian museums held cultural-educational events supported by DVV International and the Geothe Institut.
Museum of Russian Art (Collection of A. Abrahamyan) this time reached out and the event was held at Doubly Tree by Hilton Hotel. Visitors were introduced to the museum's artworks’ reproductions, and then the museum coworker conducted a lecture followed by an open class of painting.
Perch Proshyan's House-Museum joined the "Museum Night" event with an extensive program. Photo exhibition "Taraz like", master class, dancing flash mob, film "# Proshyan4", ritual of tea drinking, outdoor movie screening etc.
In Hovhannes Tumanyan's House-Museum (Dsegh) was organized public reading of German writers' works, games and competitions. The visitors left the museum with presents: Goethe’s poetry cards with German and Armenian versions (translated by Hovhannes Tumanyan).
Armenian Geological Museum's event was the continuation of last year’s "Obsidian Road ..." campaign, which was also supported by DVV International. This year the event was held in the museum as a master class. Visitors made their own jewelry by learning how to combine natural stones with metals.
