On 24–25 March 2026, the two-day workshop of the non-formal network for Adult Learning and Education in Kosovo (ALE NK) was held at Hotel Sirius in Pristina.
A total of 11 participants attended the workshop, 8 of whom were members of the Steering Board of the non-formal network in Kosovo – ALE NK: the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MEST), the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS), the Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education (AVETAE), the Employment Agency of the Republic of Kosovo (EARK), DVV International in Kosovo, NGO HAREJA, the Kosovo Education Center (KEC), and the European College of Kosovo (ECK).
The aim of the workshop was to reach a final agreement among the institutions and member organizations on the form and process of formalizing and registering the ALE NK Network, as well as to update the Statute and internal regulations, which are essential for the functioning of the network.
On the first day, member organizations presented their current activities and projects, as well as plans for 2026. Discussions focused on exchanging information about current developments in adult learning and education, coordinating joint activities, and reviewing political and strategic developments in the field.
The second day of the workshop was conducted using interactive methods, including presentations by institutional representatives, open discussions, and experience-sharing among participants. An online legal information session was conducted by expert Agron Hajdari, who presented recommendations based on an analysis of current legislation and clarified the legal procedures and specific steps for registering the network. Most members of the ALE NK Steering Board agreed that the network should be formally registered as an association of its member organizations and retain its current name and abbreviation, ALE NK.
The workshop also included the review and updating of the draft Statute and internal regulations. Through a collaborative and comprehensive process, the documents were updated in accordance with legal requirements and the needs of the network.
In conclusion, agreement was reached on the main steps toward the formalization and registration of the network, the documents were prepared for final review, and the next steps for initiating the registration procedures were determined.
This workshop represents an important step toward the full operationalization of the ALE NK Network and the strengthening of cooperation among stakeholders in the field of adult learning and education in Kosovo.
