Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and DVV International Forge New Partnership with Memorandum Signing

Tbilisi, 25^th July - In an effort to enhance educational opportunities and promote academic cooperation and exchange based upon the principles of equality and reciprocity, the two institutions Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and DVV International have officially signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a collaborative partnership. The signing ceremony took place at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University solidifying the mutual commitment .

The memorandum, signed by Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University Rector, Professor Jaba Samushia, and DVV International's Regional Director at Caucasus and South-East Europe - Dr. Thomas Lichtenberg, outlines the key areas of cooperation between the two entities.

Under this agreement, academic staff and students shall be provided with the opportunity to cooperate in the field of formal but primarily non-formal youth and adult education at the Regional Office of DVV International or in any of the affiliated Adult Education Centers. This may include the opportunities to conduct internships or get involved in teaching activities. The sphere of teaching and related activities will be agreed on between the two institutions.

Moreover, the MoU emphasizes collaboration in research by providing access to field data

sources, making joint decisions on research topics, and providing academic and logistic support to collect field data. Research activities may include student study groups, concluding theses, or comprehensive research projects. At the same time, research results will provide DVV International with scientific information on its activities and help to further improve its educational services and its work all together.

During the signing ceremony, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University Rector, Professor Jaba Samushia, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating that he sees a number of fields of cooperation which may also lead joint efforts to submit applications to international organizations.

Similarly, DVV International's Regional Director at Caucasus and South-East Europe - Dr. Thomas Lichtenberg, shared his excitement, adding, "We are delighted to partner with Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University  and we see a lot of synergies for both institutions for the benefit of all involved parties.”
