In July-September 2021, a 12-week training of trainers course “Basics of Adult Learning and Education. Teaching Methodology” was piloted for 14 experienced and aspiring trainers.
Combining self-study with online and face to face session the participants studied the international context of Adult Education, learning theories, adult learning approaches and methods, adult motivation, group dynamics and resistance and other related topics. The training was based on the Curriculum GlobALE methodology, which was recognized by UNESCO as a recommended standard for the pre-service and in-service training of adult educators in 2021.
The training was concluded with 5-day face-to-face sessions focusing on practical application of the learnt material, which was reflected in the educational programs developed by the participants. At the end of the training, the participants presented their educational programs and received relevant certificates․
