In May – October 2021 DVV International Armenia country office implements the “Adult Education for Sustainable Development Goals” campaign.
The campaign aims at raising awareness on UN sustainable development goals among youth and adults in Armenia as well as find out the issues related to the realization of the SDGs in Armenia that can be promoted through adult education.
To reach the goal several events and initiatives will be implemented from June to October, 2021, among them:
- Three forums
- Research projects implemented by individual researchers
- Grants for DVV International Armenia regional Adult Education Centers for implementing community initiatives.
The three forums are interconnected. The campaign was launched with the First forum held on June 30 in Yerevan. The forum was organized in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports. More than 50 participants were present at the forum, among them MESCS representatives, researchers, experts, DVV International Armenia regional AECs, SDG innovation lab representatives.
Following the first forum two calls were launched for individual researchers and for the DVV International Armenia regional AECs. On July 13 results of the research projects competition were summarized and the winners were announced, who will get financing for their projects implementation.
The campaign will close in October with the third forum in Kapan city, nominated as Youth capital for 2021, where the final results and findings of the research projects will be made public.
