DVV International Armenia country office and the Continuing Education Center of Yerevan State University (YSU) are jointly implementing a project to popularize the Marakesh Framework of Action (MFA). Student groups under the leadership of YSU professors will conduct research on various issues of adult learning and education related to MFA, the results of which will then be publicized in different formats.
On May 24, the first informative meeting with selected research groups was held at Yerevan State University. During the meeting Thomas Lichtenberg, DVV International Regional Director for Caucasus and South-East Europe, Ester Hakobyan, country director of DVV International Armenia and Lusine Kharatyan, director of YSU Continuing Education Center explained the concept of adult learning and education (ALE), presented DVV International as an ALE-supporting organisation, its programs, main directions of activity, as well as spoke in detail about Marrakech Framework for Action resulting from CONFINTEA VII. In their turn, the 5 selected teams presented their research topics and their general characteristics.
The research work will start from June 1, the results of which will be presented during the "Marakesh 2022 – Yerevan 2023․ ALE Developments from Global to Local" conference, and will be included in the conference publication.
