At the initiative of DVV International Armenia country office, the first non-formal ALE network meeting of 2024 was held from February 29 to March 1. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Kachmeruk Educational and Consulting Center Foundation, the Sisian Adult Education Center, the Martuni Women's Community Center, the Dilijan Community Center, Aparan Municipality, Aparan “Social Services” CNCO, Stepanavan Youth Center, “Green Lane” NGO, "Sevan Youth Club" NGO and “Blejan’’ NGO.
On the first day of the meeting, the details of the establishment and opening of the new ALE center of Aparan community were discussed, which was followed by the group discussion. Then Marine Hakobyan presented the amendments to the RA Law "On Education", experts Avetik Mejlumyan and Arpine Mazhinyan presented the terminology of the ALE in legal acts and educational documents.
The second day of the meeting started with the exchange of experience, during which the representatives of the adult education centers of Gyumri, Sisian, Martuni and Dilijan shared their experience with the representatives of the new ALE center of Aparan. In the second part of the meeting experts Avetik Mejlumyan and Nazareth Seferian presented the preliminary structure of the strategy plan of the ALE center, the approaches to work on it and the ways of financial stability.
The network meeting was concluded with a discussion of the submitted documents and suggestions for improving the activities of the ALE centers.
