Thomas Lichtenberg, DVV International Regional Director for Caucasus and South-East Europe was on a business trip to Armenia on May 22-26. The purpose of the visit was to familiarize with the activities of adult education centers funded by DVV International in Armenia, as well as to increase awareness about the centers among German organizations operating in Armenia.
Thomas Lichtenberg, visited four DVV-supported centers, i.e. Dilijan Community Center, the Martuni Women's Community Center, Kachmeruk Educational and Consulting Center Foundation and the Sisian Adult Education Center. Representatives of the German Embassy in Armenia, the German International Cooperation Organization (GIZ), the Friedrich Naumann and the Sparkassenstiftung International Cooperation Foundations were present during the visits to the last two centres. They had a chance to learn about AEC activities, operational models, classes and beneficiaries and discussing further cooperation opportunities.
