On June 14, DVV International Armenia hosted the second network meeting of supported adult education centres and non-formal network member. The first agenda item focused on discussing ongoing programs and activities and outlining the plans for the next 6 months.
Th non-formal ALE network was expanded with a new member, “Improve Our Village” NGO. Anahit Tovmasyan, head of the NGO, signed the annex to the Memorandum between the partner organizations on network establishment.
The next important part of the event was announcing the contest “The best provider of non-formal additional and continuing education (adult education)” as part of the “Krtabats (Open Education)” campaign conducted o n the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the DVV International Armenian office. The contest was announced jointly with the Ministry of Education and Culture of Armenia.
And finally, the last session of the network meeting featured an innovative collaborative exchange, during which invited ALE institutions presented their programs and courses at to DVV supported AECS. During the fair, representatives of 9 organizations from various fields presented their proposed educational programs on customer service, sales, graphic design, dairy making, eco education and others. The AECs had a chance to go around each ALE provider and find new and interesting educational programs that could be localized in their centers through a collaboration with these institutions .
