On June 13-15, 2018 DVV International Armenia, The Museum Education Center and Children of Armenia Fund implemented a three-day workshop called “Museum community: from visiting to participation”. The workshop was created with the intention to discuss the future of learning in museums and galleries and to develop and share models of widening community engagement among regional museums in Armenia. Ronan Brindley, an invited expert from Manchester Art Gallery and British Museum shared his experience of museum-community collaboration with over 40 participants form different regions of Armenia. The workshop consisted of facilitated discussions and presentations, providing the opportunity for Armenian colleagues to share ideas, objectives and concerns. The format of an ideas laboratory was developed which gave the opportunity to challenge and develop new concepts of community collaboration.
