UNHEARD VOICES: MEMORY AND POST-MEMORY IN ORAL HISTORY Book Presentation

On April 13, the Oral History Center of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography NAS RA presented the UNHEARD VOICES: MEMORY AND POST-MEMORY IN ORAL HISTORY book.

On April 13, the Oral History Center of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography NAS RA presented the UNHEARD VOICES: MEMORY AND POST-MEMORY IN ORAL HISTORY book. The book consists of articles written by the students of Oral History Center (supported by DVV International) that make heard the voices of such group of people as women, refugees, teachers, Second and Third Generations of Genocide Survivals, soldiers of the war and Turkish people living in Armenia.  April War and Velvet Revolution are two events featured in the articles alongside with such phenomena as religious beliefs and rituals in Soviet times. Stories, events phenomena and characters represented in the articles have been researched with the use of oral history method. 

The book is available at the DVV International Armenia Country Office or at the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography NAS RA.
