On October 4-6, representatives of DVV International’s headquarter and regional office were in Armenia for a three-day visit. Uwe Gartenschlaeger (Deputy Director of DVV International), Bettina Brand (Senior Desk-Officer for East and Southeast Europe, Caucasus) and Maja Avramovska (Director for Regional Office for South Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Turkey) started their program at DVV International Armenia’s Country Office where the local team presented the results and achievements of the 2019-2021 program phase.
The delegation was hosted by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports where the opportunities for promoting adult education in Armenia were discussed. Additionally, DVV colleagues met with key experts working in adult education who presented their research and other assignments, sharing their insights.
The visit was completed with visits to Adult Education Centers including Martuni Adult Education Center "Krtapnak", the Sevan Youth Club, the Dilijan Community Center, and the "Green Training Center" in Hovq. The AECs organized tours for the visitors, presented the ongoing and completed programs, spoke about their achievements and issues that should be addressed.
