OPEN CALL For Membership in the Adult Learning and Education Non-Formal Network

The Adult Learning and Education (ALE) Non-Formal Network for is pleased to announce an open call for the engagement of new member organizations / institutions. 

The purpose of expanding the network is to:

  • broaden and deepen cooperation among organizations / institutions active in the ALE field,
  • strengthen the network’s advocacy and awareness-raising capacities in ALE and combine efforts in this direction. 

 

1. About the ALE Non-Formal Network

The ALE Non-Formal Network brings together organizations / institutions in Armenia that implement quality, inclusive and impactful adult learning and education programs and/or carry out ALE advocacy and/or ALE research and studies. The purpose of the network is to promote ALE participation by contributing to the creation of legislative foundations for non-formal adult learning, increasing awareness about ALE, and ensuring quality. 

2. Who can apply

The following may apply for membership in the network:

  • non-governmental organizations,
  • foundations,
  • educational and training centers, educational complexes,
  • youth centers,
  • higher education institutions,
  • private companies,
  • other public and private entities, 

that implement ALE non-formal educational programs for their adult beneficiaries, and/or carry out ALE advocacy and/or ALE research and studies.

3. How to apply

An organization / institution interested in joining the network must submit:

  1. A completed application form
  2. The organization’s charter and state registration certificate.

4. Evaluation process and criteria framework

Applications will be evaluated by the Network Council based on the following pre-established criteria. Selection will be made on the basis of the applications; however, in case of a large number of equally qualified candidates, interviews may be conducted.

Evaluation criteria framework:

1. Value alignment (commitment to ALE and lifelong learning, recognition and appreciation of partnership and cooperation) 

2. Organizational experience (experience and activity in the ALE field, human resources, including team members / trainers / experts / researchers) 

3.1. Availability of ALE educational programs and target group(s) (for ALE providers)
(existence of educational programs, target group(s), nature of the courses)

3.2. Educational / ALE research, awareness campaigns, and other initiatives (for other institutions active in the ALE field) (existence of research, awareness campaigns, other initiatives, cooperation with stakeholders such as ministries, educational institutions, and others)
