On April 18, 2025, a Memorandum of Understanding was officially signed between DVV International, the Municipality of Vushtrri, and the NGO “Hareja” for the launch of Youth and Adult learning and Education Centre (YALEC) in the municipality of Vushtrri.
This marks the establishment of the third center of its kind in Kosovo, following the model of the German Volkshochschulen (VHS), known for providing inclusive opportunities for lifelong learning.
More specifically, this agreement between the three institutions aims to consolidate efforts to create opportunities for the participation of youth and adults in holistic non-formal and formal education offerings, as well as in accredited programs that cover a wide variety of fields and formats. These educational opportunities will be developed based on the needs and interests of the residents of the Vushtrri region.
The center will operate within the premises of the Youth Center in Vushtrri, which are used by the NGO Hareja, and will contribute to the personal and professional development of the citizens of the Municipality of Vushtrri. Through a variety of programs, it aims to prepare qualified and market-oriented profiles tailored to the needs of the labor market.
