As a result of the effective cooperation between DVV International Armenia and the YSU Continuing Education Center, the 7th cycle of the “Basics of Adult Learning and Education: Teaching Methodology” training course has been successfully completed.
Of 47 applicants, 24 participants successfully passed the pre-qualification test and joined the program, completing both the online and offline components. Participant were mainly faculty of Yerevan State University and the Armenian State University of Economics, who have now joined our growing “trainers’ family”.
This 12-week hybrid program is based on the Curriculum GlobALE framework, recognized by UNESCO. The curriculum is designed to develop the professional competencies of educators working in the adult learning and education field.
The program includes self-learning, online, and face-to-face components. The final week was conducted offline, allowing participants to consolidate their knowledge, gain deeper insights into the specifics of adult learning, and transfer theoretical understanding into practical skills.
Throughout the course, the participants were working on creating their own non-formal educational programs, which were presented during the last day and were the final component of ensuring receipt of certificates of successful completion.
At the end of the course, feedback was provided both through reflection sessions and an online survey. Participants noted that the training encouraged them to think about their teaching approaches and enriched their methodological toolkit.
The certificates were handed by Ester Hakobyan, Director of the DVV International Armenia Office, and Mikael Hovhannisyan, Vice-Rector of YSU for Development and Innovation.
