Keda Community Education Center was opened within the framework of the DVV International project and has been successfully operating in the Adjara region since 2012.
Annually, the center offers its 2000 beneficiaries a multicomponent Adult Education pack, which includes personal development, professional education, civic education, financial education, cultural education, and youth and sports programs.
On November 12, His Excellency Mr. Ernst Peter Fischer, the Minister of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Mr. Jaba Putkaradze, and the Mayor of the Keda Municipality, Mr. Roland Beridze visited Keda Community Education Center.
Mr. Peter Fisher viewed the current educational courses at the Keda Community Education Center, and spoke to the course participants and trainers. He heard many of their success stories and handed over certificates to the graduates.
Mr. Ambassador, also participated in the autumn festival organized by the Keda Community Education Center, in which youth of Keda Municipality, trainers, beneficiaries, members of the Keda Youth Club, and volunteers of the organization were involved.
Mr. Peter Fisher noted that "it doesn't matter where you live, how old you are, what’s the education level, the most important thing is to study, work hard, constantly strive for innovation and use the opportunities that such organizations (promoting non-formal education) offer".
Adjara TV covered the above-mentioned festival.
