DVVI Georgia Country office organised consultation seminar on Adult Education issues for the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport pf Georgia and representatives of vocational education colleges. The seminar is part of broad multicomponent capacity building programme for education sector authorities implemented by DVVI Georgia in 2019.
The seminar was attended by the staff of the Vocational Education Department and newly established Adult Education division under of the MoESCS , National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement and Adult Education coordinators from VET institutions.
Professor doctor Herbert Hinzen was invited to lead the seminar which was focused on several important issues, such as: Adult Education, Lifelong Learning and SDGs; International commitments of Georgia from UN, UNESCO and Member States; Examples and experiences from European countries and organisations regarding adult education and lifelong learning strategies, policies and laws. Apart from training professor Hinzen conducted consultations for the representatives of the ministry on strategies and practical actions to be taken for development of Adult Education legislation in Georgia.
