The 4th Eastern Partnership Youth Conference: Youth for Revitalisation of Democracy, organised by the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum, was held on 11-12 July in Prague, Czech Republic. DVV International Georgia Country office was represented by the “WE CARE: Cartoons for mutual understanding and trust” project chosen as the best practice out of many other country projects.

DVV International Georgia Country office project "WE CARE: Cartoons for mutual understanding and trust," funded by the German Foreign Office, was part of the Youth and Peacebuilding: Key Insights and Lessons from Youth Engaged in Peace Processes section of the conference. Due to Covid-19, the project was implemented online during 01.02.2020 - 31.11.2020. It gathered 15 young art practitioners aged 18-25 from Tbilisi, Sokhumi, and Vladikavkaz. The project aimed to create a platform for art and creativity and provide participants with a safe project space full of cultural diversity, respect, and positivity, where they could socialise and learn from each other. The workshop methodology included innovative, modern training methods: drama-in-education (DIE), visual scribing, forum theater, and live-action role-playing (LARP). The project implementation included team building, online training sessions, and art workshops. Participants were involved in joint art production, which resulted in the developing of the cartoon “InSight.”

DVV International Georgia Country office Project Coordinator Ms. Melita Phachulia participated in the 4th Eastern Partnership Youth Conference and introduced the project.

The project presentation was met with high interest and initiated a lively discussion.
