On May 6-9, DVVI Georgia Country Office hosted a delegation of colleagues from four different countries: Belarus, Jordan, Moldova, and Ukraine. The purpose of the study trip was to become better acquainted with the project “Adult Education Centers in Georgia” which is successfully implemented since 2005.
During the 3-day visit, the participants had the opportunity to meet with staff members of DVVI Georgia and the Georgian Adult Education Network (GAEN) and to listen to presentations on the main steps, achievements, and challenges of the project. They paid visits to two (out of ten) adult education centers in Koda and Leliani and discussed the everyday activities of the centers with the management, beneficiaries, and local authorities.
In addition, participants joined a sightseeing and cultural programme to learn more about Georgian history, traditions, and the context which creates the framework for DVVI’s activities in the country.
