On April 18-20, 2018 in Biograd na moru - Croatia, was held the International Conference "Building bridges in adult education". This conference was attended by six people, representatives from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, the National Qualifications Authority, the Agency for Vocational Education and Adult Education, and the DVV International office in Kosovo. This conference is an annual event that is devoted to improving adult education in the countries of South East Europe. The conference is held annually in order to gather adult education professionals from the region to discuss ongoing developments and the steps required to improve policies in line with the adult education frameworks of the European Union.
The international conference in Biograd na moru provided information on the current status of adult education, which was presented by representatives from the different countries of the region; Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia.
At this international conference, two of the presentations were from Kosovo; Mr. Ramadan Alija - Director of the DVV International Office in Kosovo presented the latest developments and current state of adult education in Kosovo, while Ms. Radica Berishaj, Leader of the Department for Lifelong Learning at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, presented the topic “Level 5 qualifications in the context of lifelong learning”.
