On May 7, 2024, DVV International, the Municipality of Peja, and the NGO - Local Youth Action Council – Peja (LYAC-Peja), have signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for launching the Youth and Adult learning and Education Centre (YALEC) in the municipality of Peja, which will function under the management within the NGO - Council for Local Youth Action - Peja (LYAC).
The signing of this memorandum reflects a collaborative effort between DVV International, local governance, and the NGO LYAC -Peja.
This center will be the second in the country, modeled after the German adult education centers (VHS).
Specifically, the purpose of this Memorandum is to strengthen cooperation between these institutions for the swift opening of this center, which will provide opportunities for youth and adults to engage in inclusive formal and non-formal education programs, as well as accredited courses covering various fields and formats.
Additionally, the programs of this center will include professional training courses such as personal development courses, general development practices, civic, democratic, and cultural education, aiming to offer a rich and diverse educational experience.
