“Media adept” is a board game that has been developed as part of the “Adult Empowerment through Media Literacy” project.
Nowadays, media literacy is one of the key components of functional literacy. Developments in media, its diversity and accessibility require that people have knowledge and skills to navigate the overall realm of media. Games are one of the most effective ways to teach media literacy, both to children and adults.
"Media adept " has been designed to promote systematic knowledge of media literacy concepts, development of relevant skills and behavior change in adults.
The game consists of 4 types of activities that aim at developing media literacy skills. All activities are stimulating intellectual thinking, they are motivating competition, and ensure variety.
The project is implemented by the DVV International Armenia country office and Public Journalism Club with the financial support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany.
