On 26 November 2025, the certification ceremony for participants in the In-Service Teachers’ Professional Development Programme “Curriculum globALE” was held at the Faculty of Education of the University of Prishtina. The programme is implemented by the Institute for Research and Development of Education (IRDE), within the Faculty of Education of the University of Prishtina, with support from DVV International in Kosovo.
The training was delivered through five modules combining theoretical and practical approaches to Adult Learning and Education, focusing on andragogy, adult learning, communication and group dynamics, contemporary teaching methods, as well as planning and assessment. Throughout this process, participants developed professional competencies applicable to their everyday practice.
The ceremony celebrated the achievements of 16 participants who completed the training, demonstrating professionalism, reflection, and a strong commitment to contributing to the development of adult education in Kosovo.
Representatives from the Faculty of Education, AVETAE, and DVV International praised the participants’ dedication and highlighted the key role of the Curriculum globALE program in improving the quality of adult education and empowering educators as central agents of change.
In his remarks, Prof. Naser Zabeli emphasized that the participants’ independent work and professional reflection directly contribute to the advancement of teaching practices. Ms. Fikrije Zymberi, Director of AVETAE, congratulated the participants on completing all five modules and underscored the program’s role in promoting lifelong learning.
Furthermore, Mr. Ramadan Alija, Director of DVV International Kosovo, highlighted the organization’s commitment to the development of adult education and stressed the importance of the Curriculum globALE program, which has been implemented in Kosovo since 2015. He noted that the Faculty of Education has established a sustainable framework for trainer development, creating a professional network to continue offering these trainings in the future.
Ms. Blerta Perolli, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education, emphasized the importance of institutionalizing the program within the Faculty, acknowledging the contribution of the professors and highlighting the program’s role as a foundation for raising educational standards and promoting the professional development of educators in Kosovo.
Each participant received a certificate recognizing the successful completion of the program, officially acknowledging them as professionals trained according to Curriculum globALE standards. The certification represents both a recognition of their achievements and motivation to apply the knowledge gained in their respective institutions.
