The current situation in Kosovo created by COVID-19, since March 13, 2020, has resulted in the temporary closure of vocational high schools and Competence Centers (CC), in order to protect public health in Kosovo and prevent further spread of the Coronavirus. Given the circumstances, DVV International is committed to continuing the education process according to adult education programs through the digitization of these schools and CC, where soft skills (IT and Marketing) are being offered, such as CC of Prizren and CC of Malisheva. On May 28, 2020, the Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education in Kosovo - AVETAE (which, among others manages 4 Competence Centers in Kosovo) and DVV International for implementation of the project. Currently AVETAE and MEST do not have funds to digitize these educational institutions, and a support from DVV International in Kosovo will enable the implementation of this project. The project will be implemented through the development of electronic platforms for the conduct of online learning according to current programs for adults licensed by MEST, and through the supply of at least two CCs with the necessary equipment for their digitization.
The platforms have been developed during the months of July-August-September.Also the Online registration of trainees has started and Implementation of Online learning for IT and Marketing professions in these two centers of competence.
