In cooperation with the Kosovo Agency for Vocational Education and Adult Education (AVETAE), was initiated the implementation of the project for the development of two new professional standards for level V qualifications (Heating and Air Conditioning Installer, and Tailoring). The project aims to develop standards for level V qualifications of these two professions, and this will precede the development of programs and their implementation within the vocational secondary schools and the centers of competence in Kosovo.
Specifically, the project will include:
· Selection of persons (experts) who will deal with the development of level V qualification standards for the educational profiles of Heating and Air Conditioning Installers and Tailoring.
· Develop standards in cooperation with AVETAE, Vocational Secondary Schools, Competency Centers, and Representative Business Organizations in Kosovo;
· The standards developed for the respective education profiles for level V qualifications will be submitted to AVETAE, MEST, NQA and other relevant actors in vocational education and training and adult education in Kosovo.
The development of vocational standards for level V qualifications for the two above-mentioned professions is a result of the previous research conducted in cooperation with the Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education (AVETAE), which has served for collection of data based on educational profiles offered in state professional secondary schools and centers of competence in Kosovo. The research served to AVETAE and other relevant stakeholders as a guide for the development of the necessary occupational standards for level 5 qualifications, based on the specifics and needs of the labor market in the Republic of Kosovo. The two educational profiles selected by AVETAE, and for which occupational standards for level 5 qualifications will be developed, are considered necessary and in line with the labor market in Kosovo, and after they are produced it is possible to start with the development of programs and their implementation at vocational secondary schools and centers of competence in Kosovo.
