On May 27, 2022, a cooperation agreement was signed between DVV International and KEC (Kosova Education Center), to support KEC (as the only member from Kosovo of the EAEA (European Association for the Education of Adults). The support will be offered by covering its participation expenses in international events organized by the EAEA and the annual EAEA membership fee, by developing Adult Education programs and advancing current programs, enriching them with new content and practices.
The European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) is the voice of non-formal adult education in Europe. The EAEA is a European NGO with 120 member organizations in 43 countries, and it represents more than 60 Million students across Europe, striving to link and represent European organizations directly involved in adult learning. EAEA promotes adult learning, access to and participation in non-formal adult education for all.
KEC’s membership, as the only member organization from Kosovo with active participation in events held by the European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA), enables the circulation of important information in the field of Adult Learning and Education (ALE), which will also be adopted and used in Kosovo.
The content and good practices gained from the participation of KEC staff in the events organized by the EAEA will be used to develop new programs for Adult Education, modify and advance existing ones, enriching them with new content and practices.
Also, the acquired European approaches to ALE will be adopted and used by KEC during 2022 in the “Education for Active Citizenship and Human Rights” training, which will be organized with the support of the DVV International office in Kosovo.
