On 04 March 2022, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the launch of international modular training curriculum for adult educators, "Curriculum globALE”, was signed between DVV International in Kosovo and Faculty of Education in Prishtina (UP). The curriculum was developed by the German Institute for Adult Education (DIE), in cooperation with DVV International, and consists of 6 separate competence-based modules for the training of adult educators worldwide.
The launch of the curriculum within the state Faculty of Education in Prishtina will help provide basic andragogical knowledge for the training of trainers, teachers and managers involved in various adult education institutions in Kosovo.
The role of an adult educator, as conceptualised in the Curriculum globALE, is based on shared values and principles of universal importance worldwide.
Launched now at the Faculty of Education in Pristina, the curriculum will be adjusted to central and local contexts in Kosovo too. Launching the curriculum for basic andragogical knowledge recognized by UNESCO will provide for a long-term sustainability of a globally recognized basic andragogical training for adult educators in Kosovo.
