A cooperation agreement is signed between DVV International and AVETAE

The Institute for International Cooperation of the Deutscher Volkshochschul-Verband e.V. (DVV International) and the Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education (AVETAE), on 10 June 2022, have signed a cooperation agreement in order to implement the project "Development of short-term (modular) adult education programs and use of these programs within the six Competence Centers (CCs) and vocational high schools (VET) in Kosovo”.

The development of new adult education (AE) programs will be based on a preliminary survey of the technical and professional capacities of the six CCs and eight selected vocational schools from the eight main regions in Kosovo (Pristina, Podujeva, Prizren, Peja, Ferizaj, Mitrovica, Gjilan and Gjakova). Also, their development will be based on standards validated and approved by the National Qualifications Authority (NQA) and in accordance with the National Qualifications Framework in Kosovo.

Furthermore, the development and implementation of these new AE programs will enable the increase of inclusive access to adult education programs, in particular for marginalized groups and other adult groups, excluded from the education process in Kosovo.

Otherwise, the mission of AVETAE is to strongly support the development of AE in Kosovo, in accordance with the objectives set out in the new Kosovo Education Strategic Plan (KESP) and the Action Plan 2022-2026. In order to fulfill its purpose, AVETAE aims to achieve the development of AE in relation to the needs of modern technology, labor market and social development of the country; Ensuring social partnership at all levels and at all stages of planning, developing and implementing AE programs; Integrating education, training, and work into a lifelong learning perspective. AVETAE is available and flexible for the entire system of vocational education and adult education, based on competence, depending on the needs of each individual and society, as a carrier of the development of Kosovo's economy and employment growth.
