The Conference held on 20-21 June 2022, under the motto "vhs 2030: Together in Diversity. Sustainable. Connected", addressed three major issues of the future that pose new challenges, politically and socially, and thus also for adult education.
For almost two days, more than 800 participants from Adult Education Centres in Germany (vhs), international guests, representatives from politics, business and academia, as well as cooperation partners from adult education and other areas of civil society, met in Leipzig to exchange experiences, to discuss and develop new ideas for the practice of Adult Education. From Kosovo in this Conference participated: the Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESTI), Ms. Arbërie Nagavci, together with her Advisor Ms. Majlinda Rizvanolli - Bajraktari and the Director of the office of the Institute for International Cooperation of the Deutscher Volkshochschul-Verband e.V. (DVV International) in Kosovo, Mr. Ramadan Alija.
In trend with global developments in the field of Adult Education, MESTI and DVV International in Kosovo are working to develop this important segment of education, to enable every citizen of Kosovo to adapt to digitalization and other changes through lifelong learning.
The participation of the Minister of MESTI from Kosovo in this conference, has resulted in the readiness of MESTI to intensify mutual cooperation with DVV International in Kosovo to carry out together the activities specified below:
- At the end of June, within the Faculty of Education of the University of Pristina, will be promoted the launch of the program "Curriculum GlobALE" for the training of educators dealing with Adult Education;
- Two new Adult Education Centers will be opened, based on the model of German public schools;
- A new Adult Education Network will be established, which will enable the coordination, cooperation and management of data at the national level.
