Training of Young Trainers from Vocational Training Centers, based on "Curriculum GlobALE" (Basic Qualification for Adult Educators)

DVV International, in cooperation with the Employment Agency of the Republic of Kosovo (EARK), have implemented the training called "Basic Qualification for Adult Educators" based on the "Curriculum GlobALE", hosted from 05 to 21 September 2018

These trainings were attended by 24 Young Trainers who were engaged by the Employment Agency of Kosovo during the last 2-3 years after the opening of new training profiles within 7 Vocational Training Centers. These trainings were organized in the form of Seminars for Modules 0, 1 and 2, presented as per the Curriculum GlobALE.

Two professors of the Faculty of Education in Prishtina, Prof. Dr. Demë Hoti and Prof. Assoc. Dr. Naser Zabeli, who have previously demonstrated high performance in implementing the training according to Curriculum GlobALE, were engaged for these trainings. Both of these professors are directly involved in teaching at the Faculty of Education in Prishtina in the subjects - Lifelong Learning and Methodology of Teaching.

The engagement of all participants in these trainings has been very high and the final results from these trainings show that all participants in these seminars, after completion of the trainings, are able to demonstrate the knowledge gained from the Curriculum GlobALE for Modules 0, 1, and 2. In the last days of the organized seminars, all participants were presented with a Seminar Evaluation Form, which they filled out and submitted to the organizers. 92℅ of the participants rated the seminars with the maximum score, while 8% of them rated the seminars as satisfactory (all evaluation sheets are found in the Seminar files).

All participants in the workshops expressed the need to continue the training for the other modules specified in the Curriculum GlobALE package, and the continuation of the training for the other Modules is foreseen to be done during 2019. The implementation of the Curriculum GlobALE and the integration of this curriculum within the public Adult Education Institutions have significantly increased the performance of Trainers and Adult Teachers.
